L'Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara

For the past 2 days I have been wearing the new L'oreal lash tubes mascara Double Extend. This is my first time trying a "tube" mascara. I hadn't really been that interested in them, but I have to say I think this one is pretty good .

Through 2 long days I have had not one smudge or run. Nothing. Even after rubbing my eyes. Now on me thats amazing.

The mascara is a two part with a primer to apply first and then the mascara itself. It all goes on very easily, the mascara isn't too wet or dry. I got incredible length from this but no volume at all. I can go with just length, although both are nice. If you really want volume, then this may not be for you. It gave me long , spiky lashes that stayed that way all day.

My only complaint is the shortness of the brush handle. I took this pic so you can see that. I am adjusting to it, but normally I like a longer one. It's not a major deal though.

They say this washes off with warm water, but I had to kind of tug them off my lashes. Not crazy about that part but again, it's do-able. Just have to get used to it. They do come off easily and don't irritate in any way.

For long lashes that never run , I am happy. I have too many mascaras that never do that. So I will keep using it.

Double Extend sells for around 9.00 at drugstores.

Dear jesusbejebus,
My biggest priority is all day length.

You just sold me on that.

I purchased this this week. The first day, wasn't too thrilled, but tried again for the entire week. Now I have got the system down and it may be my imagination, but my lashes seem to be looking better each day: longer, healthier. The removal is bizarre and very easy and clean. Just splash many times or run under very warm (not hot) water and the tubes begin to soften and dissolve. I find there is not need to tug and pull and I just sweep the water with my hands to do the final removal. I am quickly falling in love with this mascara. I have long lashes, and was using the Firebird mascara by Fresh (still like that one too), but I like the tube benefit with the Loreal. Long lashes, no clumps and lightweight feel too. I recommend try it, read the instructions, and give it several day's try. It's a keeper.

I been using this mascara for a few days now. It does lenghten, but, alas, no volume. I also am not a big fan of the brush. It seems spikey and hard. I probably won't but it again.

I couldn't wait for this as I have such thin lashes, and love wearing mascara...I tried it 2 week ago.. the 2 step application was like any other lash extender...it says it washes off easily...well I had this on my eyes for 6 days as I couldn't get it off, tried many different products to remove it, so I finally got out my Olay micro-derm cleansing cloths and scrubbed at them lashes..and the tubes were releasing some..
I know I won't use this again..it ruined my remainding lashes. I am glad I didn't put it on my bottom lashes!!

To the people who had trouble removing the "tubes":

You're supposed to run your lashes through warm (not hot) water for anywhere up to 15 seconds, which will cause the tubes to "melt".. I guess.. and they come off very easily after that. What I like to do is cup some warm water in my hand and hold it up to my lashes for 10 seconds.

On the mascara itself, it definitely lengthens TONS, but does absolutely nothing for volume and holding curl.

This product was AMAZING! I have very thin and short lashes and have never been able to find a really good product; and I have tried them ALL. Cheap to very expensive and have never found anything like this. The first day I wore it, a co-worker asked me if I'd had eyelash extensions! GREAT product. I have not had any trouble at all removing them. I stand under the shower (very warm, not hot) for about 10 seconds, then wash my face with my cleanser, wipe the eye area with a wash cloth and they come right off. It was strange at first, because they looked like a big clump of black lint on the cloth, but no problems and didn't hurt my own lashes. I will be very sad if they ever discontinue this. If I didn't think they'd dry out over time, I'd stock up on this!

While I love what this product does for lengthening my lashes, I find that I am super sensitive to it. Really disappointed that I can't continue to use it.

For several years, I've been using the tube mascara by Blinc. It was nice not to have raccoon eyes especially under my bottom lashes. Then I recently saw that L'Oreal had a tube mascara, too. I tried L'Oreal's and fell in love with it. I like it much better than Blinc. I have way more hand control with L'Oreal's brush, so my applications look much more natural. My only wish is it came in other colors besides black. I prefer brown. You can't go wrong buying L'Oreal's tube mascara!

Rachael, happy to see you love the mascara as much as I do. I am still using it, and am so pleased with it. No more flakes and I even get asked if I wear false lashes as this mascara makes your lashes look natural. I can understand not everyone will like tube mascara, but I love it and agree that Loreal could offer a dark brown as well. Tube removal is easy if you remove with warm water, soak lashes, then gently tug or wipe with hand, and they slip off lashes. Amazing product!
