YSL Fall Color 2008

YSL is doing it again, making a new color collection to swoon over. Fall 2008 is tribute to the late YSL and partly inspired by his tuxedo looks. The color palettes are all beautiful. There are many new 5 color palettes ( I want the green one, no.6 badly), a smoky eye palette with dark blue and black and a new 3 color face palette with a swirled gold YSL running through it. There is also an emerald green mascara and eyeliner that I have not seen photos of yet, but sound good. Lips are all very pink.

I have swatches of the most gorgeous green palette. This is simply wow. The face palette is fab too. The picture didn't come as nice as I would have liked, but the 2 main colors are light to medium, very soft.
Hang onto your wallets , ladies. These are on counter in September.

The details:
MASCULINE-FEMININE-
The tuxedo. A diaphanous complexion. Deep, deep eyes – metallic and smoky. Shocking pink lips. A provocative, intriguing allure.
With the divine brushstrokes of Val Garland, Artistic Adviser for YSL Make-Up, Coco Rocha personifies the Yves Saint Laurent woman – feline and mysterious.

BLACK OR WHITE-
The tuxedo, a fashion icon of the Yves Saint Laurent universe created in 1966, is the standard of the masculine-feminine style. Emblematic of the collection, two limited edition palettes offer a free, graphic interpretation, between light and shadow.

Black Tuxedo, deep and vibrant,
the COLLECTOR POWDER FOR THE EYES intensifies the eyes in shades of black.

White Tuxedo, sensual and delicate,
the COLLECTOR POWDER FOR THE COMPLEXION smoothes and lightens the skin with light-filled shades.

The Face palette:
"Dedicated to customized radiance, three skin illuminators in delicate shades. Powder, blush and highlighter in one, this talented trio lightens, colors and mattifies.
The Ampli Light + pigments tame light. The shades, used alone or blended, give the skin pure, subtle radiance.
The beige powder is ideal for lightening the entire face, or for a matteness touch-up.
The apricot blush warms and enlivens the complexion.
Applied on the cheekbones, the arch below the eyebrows, the ridge of the nose and the chin, the pearly pink shade highlights these features with subtle gold reflections."

I love the fall trend: Tuxedos and complementary makeup.
But the word "fall" brings chills to my spine. LOL. Long live summer!

Not quite ready for fall here either :) maybe a bit cooler, but not that just yet. Can happily appreciate the makeup though.
